How Does Physiotherapy Help?

The goal of physiotherapy is to restore, maintain, and improve your mobility, strength, flexibility, balance and overall function.

The three main categories of physiotherapy are:

1. Manual/hands-on therapy
2. Stretches and Exercises
3. Education

In addition to treating your injuries/conditions, your physiotherapist will teach you some stretches and exercises to do on an ongoing basis and explain the reason and benefit for each one as it pertains to your unique needs.
Hands-On Treatment
The goal of hands-on treatment it to get your body back to optimal range of motion, strength, and to decrease your pain.
Stretches and Exercises
These exercises and stretches are tailored to your specific individual needs, related to the injury or condition being treated and will increase your muscle strength, mobility, balance, and coordination.
Education
Our team will explain the underlying causes of your injuries and conditions, along with the benefits and areas of focus for each of the prescribed exercises and stretches so you have the necessary knowledge to fully recover and prevent future issues.
