Over-Pronation

What is it?

Over-pronation of the foot is excessive rolling inward. Over–pronation can cause: arch pain, heel pain, bunions, Achilles Tendonitis and hammer toe. Over-pronation can also cause a patient to be more susceptible to injuries.

What is the Cause?

There are several causes of over-pronation. These causes include: excessively flexible feet, genetics, being overweight and pregnancy.

Recommended Treatment

An over-pronator should wear custom orthotics and supportive shoes in order to keep their feet in a more stable position.
